Day 1 Part 1: Traveling to Austria

This is the first day of my Christmas trip to Austria, Czech Republic and Germany. And as usual, it's back at Doha's Hamad International Airport again

Walking from the gate to explore the airport awhile during transit again.

There's surprisingly still a lot of people at this time - which was like 11pm to 2am in the morning.

We found a new extension of the airport - which was this Oasis area that is similar to Jewel and our KLIA rainforest.

OTW down for some fried rice as a snack before we boarded Qatar Airways again to Vienna. Rather small plane.

Landed in Vienna at 6:50 local time.

I think they recently renovated their airport as it looks spotless and rather modern as opposed to its dated exterior.

Collecting luggages.

We took the S Bahn (S7) train into the city as it was cheaper than the CAT, just slightly longer and winter makes the platform even colder.

Got off at Wien- mitte station to transfer to the subway and encountered this bookstore, would like to check it out later hopefully.

Passing through a mall

We got the the U4 line at last to travel to our Airbnb not far from here.

This feels so different as compared to most of Rome's subways which looked darker and more dodgy. Anyway, we settled down first and bought some groceries before going to the next spot:
